Dan became working in the construction industry in 2011 and upon graduating from Grove City College in 2015, with an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree, began working as a Project Engineer in the surrounding area. He has Engineering experience with manufacturing electrical systems, heavy civil & utility projects, and fuel process pipelines, both in urban and rural Alaska.
Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska for 18 years, Daniel had a typical story of an Alaskan Highschool-er; After graduating high school he flew south, chasing sunshine, and wanting to make a life outside the state. However, after 10 years, when he and his wife were going to have their first child, the Last Frontier called again and Daniel came back to live, whole heartedly, in the land of his youth. He believes there’s no better place to raise a child than Alaska.
Daniel appreciates adventure both locally and internationally, with memorable moments occurring at the basecamp of Everest in Nepal, climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland and hitchhiking in California and Montana. As well as adventures in chasing his children down the street, fishing them out of a creek, going through a car wash with his two-year old, and getting absolutely filthy in a pile of clean, grade A, dirt.
