Alaska Facility Management - O’Malley Sports Campus
Chemtrack currently manages the O'Malley Sports Campus located in South Anchorage.The Campus currently consists of three buildings - The Cellular One Sports Center, The Subway Sports Centre and The Platinum Building.
We provide the staffing, event scheduling, building maintenance and grounds maintenance and more for these properties.
- A staff of 10 persons and a mechanic/maintenance person operates the facility 18 hours per day, 7 days per week
- Our staff currently operates, maintains, and manages all three facilities including parking lots, landscaping and snow and ice removal.
- Operation and maintenance of an ammonia refrigeration system where ammonia is the primary and a calcium chloride solution the secondary refrigerant.
- Minor and major maintenance on the ammonia compressors, receiver tanks, filters and associated piping.
- The evaporative condenser system to cool down the ammonia.
- The ice refrigeration piping and the below-ice glycol heating system.
- Scheduled maintenance of several electric motors and pumps for ammonia, glycol, calcium chloride, and cooling water ranging from 5 to 200 amps.
- An ammonia-leak detection system, a carbon monoxide monitor, a security system and fire detection system, a sprinkler system.
- A natural gas filling station for the ice resurfacing equipment.
- A cathodic protection system with sacrificial anodes.
- A 125 KW emergency power/backup system consisting of a Cummins natural gas fired engine that powers the generator set to run the refrigeration system during a power outage.
- The heating and ventilating system in the building which is activated by a thermostat and/or a carbon monoxide detection system.
- Parking lot maintenance, landscaping and snow removal.
- Ice resurfacing is scheduled from 6 am to midnight every day on an hourly basis on both sheets of ice.
